An independent, non-profit Jordanian association that upholds efficiency and professionalism, operating under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture. It was established under its special regulation No. 36/2010 by academics, industrialists, technicians, enthusiasts, and individuals who believe in its mission. The Association works diligently to build a database of experts, organize scientific activities, encourage research and studies in the field of sensory evaluation, and promote a culture of food quality to correct certain misconceptions among consumers.

The Jordanian Association for Sensory Evaluation of Food aspires to be a national and regional reference institution for promoting and strengthening the culture of sensory food testing, making it a standardization tool for food quality control.

Our Mission
To achieve its objectives, the Association strives to implement programs, projects, and activities that:
1- Strengthen cooperation in the field of sensory evaluation with the industrial and commercial sectors, scientific centers, research students, stakeholders, as well as the agricultural sector.
2- Foster confidence in national food products and give them the importance they deserve, thereby enhancing their quality.

1. Promote the culture of sensory evaluation for agricultural products and food.
2. Implement projects that enhance the culture of food quality, especially for national agricultural and food products.
3.Establish sensory testing teams for various sectors such as honey, meat, and dairy.
4. Develop guidelines and manuals for sensory evaluation across multiple sectors.
Sensory evaluation services for food products based on internationally recognized standards, offered to postgraduate students, professionals involved in food product development, food factories and establishments, as well as food clients and traders.
Providing opportunities for training and qualification of tasting panels and for those interested in sensory food testing methods.
Providing consultancy services in the field of food industries and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Providing the necessary knowledge in sensory evaluation to all segments of the local community interested in food and nutrition.
Assisting in the development, manufacturing, handling, and preservation of food products.
Members play an active role within the accredited national panels for sensory evaluation of olive oil in Jordan.
