The General Assembly of the Jordanian Association for Sensory Evaluation of Food
The General Assembly of the Jordanian Association for Sensory Evaluation of Food convened with a full quorum in its third and final regular session of the Fifth Council, whose mandate concluded at the end of this meeting with its General Assembly.
The administrative and financial reports were unanimously approved, thereby granting the Fifth Council full discharge. We extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the Fifth Council for its efforts in safeguarding the Association’s trust and advancing its objectives and activities.
All members unanimously agreed to endorse the new Board Members for the Sixth Term as follows:
- Eng. Nidal Al-Samā’in
- Dr. Salma Al-Maghribi
- Mr. Salah Al-Hersh
- Dr. Mohammad Shaheen
- Dr. Mai Adnan Abdullah
- Ms. Laila Hassouneh
- Eng. Reem Al-Rabadi
Alternate Members:
- Dr. Ayman Al-Sheikh
- Ms. Ruba Daghmash (respectively)
It was also decided to appoint the members of the Competition and Technical Performance Committee, chaired by Dr. Mai Adnan Abdullah, with the membership of Dr. Ayman Al-Sheikh, Ms. Ruba Daghmash, Eng. Nidal Al-Samā’in, and Dr. Mohammad Shaheen.
Following the conclusion of the General Assembly’s business, the newly elected Council held its first meeting to assign positions, with the following consensus:
- President: Eng. Nidal Al-Samā’in
- Vice President: Dr. Salma Al-Maghribi
- Secretary: Mr. Salah Al-Hersh
- Treasurer: Dr. Mohammad Shaheen
- Members: Dr. Mai Adnan Abdullah, Ms. Laila Hassouneh, and Eng. Reem Al-Rabadi
The session concluded in a warm and family-like atmosphere, as reflected in the photos, which will inspire the next Council to continue the journey of giving and achievement.
